How Does Sheamus Feel About Recent Body Shaming On RAW?
WWE

Now that he’s back and bigger than ever, how does Sheamus feel about recent body shaming on RAW?

The former champion returned after a months long absence just over a week ago. Fans were happy to see him back, but the former Brawling Brute looked a bit different. Aside from new tights we weren’t used to on him, he was noticeably carrying more weight. Or, to be blunt, in spite of time off, he looked a bit out of shape. That in and of itself is a bit crazy to think of. After all, Sheamus has a reputation for his workouts, and we’ve seen other Superstars put themselves through them-including former WWE Superstar Edge.

Still, Sheamus has detailed just how close he got to retirement. It seems as though he put more energy in getting recovered from his injury so that he could get back. And as a result, other areas may have suffered. So much so that on the April 22nd RAW, Drew McIntyre had to bring the weight issue up during an in-ring promo. Specifically, Drew told Sheamus that rather than having banger after banger, it appeared as though the fighting Irishman has been having burger after burger.

Was he OK?

Sheamus had a nice retort, but there’s more to it. We do know that the two have a history and a friendship. So was he upset or on board with the barbs? Per Fightful, Sheamus knew they were coming and was fine with the usage. The veteran WWE Superstar knows he needs to improve his fitness back to his normal standards. That said, it seems WWE brought him back for reasons. One of which was getting him engaged prior to the annual draft. Say what you will, at least he is rolling with the punches, and as he has said, he can and will fix the issue. So while Sheamus was taking the body shaming on RAW, he was OK with it, and already looks better than during his return a week ago.
