Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is delighted with young midfield pair Elliot Anderson and Sean Longstaff.

Howe was speaking ahead of tomorrow's clash at Manchester United.

On Anderson, the manager said: "I think trust is a key word, when I first came here I was aware of him and his talents. He has worked on all aspects of his game, he has been really reliable for us and I think whatever position I have used him in or where I have tactically asked him to do things, he has done it really well.

"I am really pleased with his tactical understanding and his attacking play, he's got an assist in the previous games. There are goals and assists in the future I am sure."

On Longstaff, Howe added: "I think he's feeling better. He's been doing a lot of attacking work and finishing with coaches. We have worked a lot on our midfielders scoring goals and it is paying off at the moment."
