NFL Analyst Reveals Ominous Outlook For Eagles’ Nick Sirianni
Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Just two shorts years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles were in the Super Bowl. After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, everyone viewed Nick Sirianni’s team as one that would be back in the very future.

To start the 2023 NFL season, it appeared that the Eagles were headed for another Super Bowl run. However, they suffered a brutal late-season collapse. While they still made it into the playoffs, they were unable to right the ship and ended up losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.

Heading into the offseason, Howie Roseman and company knew that they needed to make some moves to get the Eagles back into serious contention in the NFC. They were able to do just that.

Despite the optimism that is surrounding the Eagles following their impressive 2024 NFL Draft haul, there are quite a few ominous reports coming out about what could happen if they fail to have success in 2024.

In a recent segment of The Carton Show, NFL analyst Craig Carton shared an ominous prediction for Sirianni. He believes that if the Eagles do not win the NFC East division in 2024, that Sirianni will never be an NFL head coach again.

“If they don’t win the division this year, Nick Sirianni will never be a head coach in the NFL ever again.”

Taking A Look At Nick Sirianni’s Future With The Eagles

Needless to say, that kind of a prediction takes things to a different level. It’s understandable to be frustrated with Sirianni after last seasons collapse, but to predict that he would never be a head coach again seems a bit excessive.

Granted, there is a very good chance that the Eagles would choose to fire Sirianni if another unsuccessful season occurs in 2024. However, there is a good chance that another team at some point down the line would give him a chance.

Ideally, the Eagles will be able to figure out their issues from the end of last season. Unfortunately, they did end up losing two key pieces of their lineup in Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox. Both players were able integral leaders in the locker room, which is a major setback.

Despite the losses, the Eagles have a roster stacked with talent on both sides of the football. A lot of the team’s success in 2024 will depend on the arm and legs of star quarterback Jalen Hurts. He didn’t have a good season in 2023 either.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what the Philadelphia Eagles are able to do this coming season. Nick Sirianni’s future with the franchise could very well be in the balance. In Carton’s mind, his head coaching career is on the line.
